In 2016, Forsyth County had approximately 55% of children (newborn to 18 years old), about 30,000, at risk of hunger and malnutrition. When including adults, Forsyth County had 62,590 people who were food insecure. Additionally, during the school week, families with school-aged children rely heavily on Forsyth County's breakfast and lunch programs to ensure proper childhood nutrition. Every year the schools have a break for Easter, leaving these families, our neighbors, in great need.
Our St. Leo's community is going to provide an Easter dinner and groceries for approximately 60 needy families this Easter. If you would like to participate in this ministry, please email, telephone, or fill out the form below and place it in the offertory collection.
We will collect dinners on the weekend of Palm Sunday, April 8th (4:45 - 6:45 pm) and April 9th (8:30 am - 1:30 pm). *Please note new times for drop-off
