"Building Virtue in the Midst of Chaos"
Tuesday, September 22, 2020

Parents have always played a primary role in the spiritual and human formation of their children. COVID-19 has highlighted that role exponentially. The Center for Evangelization and Catechesis at Aquinas College will be hosting two webinars that will help you develop norms for living the “new normal” in the Domestic Church of your home. Each presentation will be about 45 minutes and will offer time for Q&A at the end of each session. We will also provide resources with ideas on prayer and virtue.

"Keeping our Children Spiritually Healthy"
Webinar for parents, educators, and catechists
Tuesday, September 15, 2020

In the current climate we are vigilant about protecting our physical health. As Catholic parents, we are even more concerned with the spiritual health of our children. The best and most secure place to meet the spiritual needs of our children is a prayerful home that leads them to faithful reception of the Sacraments. The inner prayer life of the family is the garden from which the Holy Spirit bears fruit in the lives of our children and helps them to develop into spiritually healthy adults.

Jason Gale and Sister John Thomas Armour, O.P. will be discussing the essential elements of the spiritual life of the family, addressing where to begin a familial prayer life, how to engage disinterested adolescents, and how to establish habits of prayer that are realistic and meaningful.

"Building Virtue in the Midst of Chaos"
Webinar for parents, educators, and catechists
Tuesday, September 22, 2020

What do parents want most for their children as adults? Peace and security? Happiness and flourishing? In this time of uncertainty, anxiety can cause us to lose peace within our souls. As priorities shift, it is easy to lose our focus on eternal things. Virtue brings order to lives tossed about with change and sets one firmly on the path to happiness.

Jason Gale and Sister John Thomas Armour, O.P. will highlight the virtues that bring order to the chaotic world in which we live and will discuss how parents can both model and teach these virtues to their children.
