Children’s Faith Formation Program

Faith Formation registration:  Online registration is still available! Faith Formation begins at 9 AM on Sundays in the Activity Center. We offer classes for PreK - 8th grade.  


Faith Formation registration for the 2023-2024 school year:

Classes began on September 10th on campus (in person).  If you have a child(ren) that will be entering PreK through the 8th grade and is not enrolled in a Catholic school we ask that you register for classes. 

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion

This sacrament is traditionally celebrated in the 2nd grade.  Candidates will prepare for First Reconciliation from September until January of the 2023-2024 school year and will participate in the celebration of Reconciliation for the first time in mid-January.  Candidates will then prepare for First Holy Communion from February until May and will celebrate the sacrament in early May.  Parents will be required to attend parent meetings at the beginning of both preparations.

For children to participate in this sacrament they should have completed the following requirements:

  1. Be a baptized Catholic.

  2. Was enrolled in a Catholic religious education program or Catholic school during the 2022-2023 school year.

  3. Be in at least the 2nd grade.


Protecting God's Children

If you are a volunteer with St. Leo Parish School or the Church, please talk with a staff member about completing the Protecting God's Children program. It is a mandatory program for all volunteers. You can find the training program at the following link:  Protecting God's Children training

FAITH FORMATION – EMPOWERING GOD’S CHILDREN

In an effort to assist in the monumental mission of protecting children from abuse, St. Leo’s Faith Formationis partnering with you to present a safe environment lesson to your youth (K – 8) within their youth program. It is our cherished role as adults to fully protect children. In addition, we must also teach children about their safety rights and boundaries, so that they have tools to protect themselves. TOTUS TUUS SUMMER PROGRAM:  GRADES 1—12

Dates:  June 16-21

Grades: 1-6     Times:  9:00am-2:30pm

What is Totus Tuus?  (Latin for Totally Yours) It is a fun and energetic parish based summer catechetical program, for children in grades 1—6.   The program is led by a team of four fun, energetic, and faithful college aged men and women that lead games, songs, prayers, and lessons. The week ends with a huge water fight! The program combines daily Mass, songs, games, Eucharistic Adoration and tons of fun!

 

Grades: 7-12:  7:00 pm – 9:00pm

Totus Tuus offers an evening program for junior and senior high school youth. Junior High youth

are those entering the 7th or 8th grades, and Senior High youth are those entering grades 9-12

for the upcoming school year. These “twilight retreats” meet Sunday through Thursday.

The evening program is comprised of instruction, small group discussions, quiet meditation, prayer, fellowship, and games.

CALLING ALL HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS!!! NEED VOLUNTEER HOURS?  We are looking for high school/college age volunteers to help with Totus Tuus during the day.  All incoming freshmen are welcome to volunteer. Sign up HERE!
