We are excited to welcome all parish families to another great year of Faith Formation at St. Leo! We are excited to welcome all parish families to another wonderful year of Faith Formation at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church! Our program is designed to support families as we grow together in faith, deepen our relationship with Christ, and build a strong Catholic foundation for our children and youth.
Program Details
Faith Formation Classes
Faith Formation classes are offered for children entering Pre-K through 8th Grade. Through prayer, scripture, engaging lessons, sacramental preparation, and community experiences, we strive to help our students grow in their understanding and practice of the Catholic faith.
Classes for Pre-K through 8th Grade began on Sunday, September 13th.
Volunteers Needed!
Our Faith Formation program is made possible through the generous support of parish volunteers. We are always looking for adults who feel called to share their time, talents, and faith with the children of our parish community. Whether you are interested in teaching, assisting in the classroom, helping with special events, or supporting behind the scenes, we would love to have you join our team!

Faith Formation is an important part of every child's ongoing spiritual growth. Our program gives students opportunities to learn about their Catholic faith, grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ, participate more fully in the life of the Church, and discover how their faith connects to everyday life.
Faith development is an ongoing journey that begins at home and is strengthened through regular participation in the parish community. Each year of Faith Formation builds upon the previous year, helping children develop a deeper understanding of Scripture, prayer, the Sacraments, Catholic teachings and traditions, and what it means to live as a disciple of Christ.
Parents and families are essential to this journey. Working together—families, catechists, and our parish community—we can help our children develop a strong foundation of faith that will continue to grow throughout their lives.

First Reconciliation & First Holy Communion
Preparing to receive the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion is a special and important time in a child's and family's faith life. Through sacramental preparation, children grow in their understanding of God’s love and forgiveness, the gift of grace, the Real Presence of Jesus in the Eucharist, and what it means to participate fully in the celebration of the Mass.
Sacramental preparation is more than preparing for two special days—it is an opportunity to help children develop a deeper and lasting relationship with Jesus Christ. Parents play an essential role in this preparation by attending Mass as a family, praying together, discussing what their child is learning, and helping them understand the importance of the Sacraments in our Catholic faith.
Our parish preparation program partners with families to help each child approach these Sacraments with understanding, confidence, and joy.
