Protecting God’s Children
VIRTUS Program
VIRTUS is a program created by the National Catholic Risk Retention Group in the United States with a "Protecting God's Children" component that combats sexual abuse of children in the Church. In accordance with the Diocese of Charlotte requirements, every adult employee and volunteer must submit to a background check and complete VIRTUS training before participating in parish ministry.

If you have information about possible sexual abuse or misconduct by any clergy, employee or volunteer of the Diocese of Charlotte, you can report concerns safely, securely, and anonymously 24/7 over the phone or online.
